Retention Corner
Where we learn what works — and build what doesn't exist yet.
The Retention Corner is IMS’s dropout prevention and recovery innovation centre, the physical and intellectual home from which IMS’s work is designed, tested, documented, and shared.
It is where we sit with teachers who are struggling to hold a classroom together and ask: what do you need? Where we review data from 12 PEIS groups and ask: what is the pattern? Where we prototype the next iteration of a tool that did not work the first time, and document the one that did.
The Retention Corner doubles as IMS’s offices. Every staff member works from within it. Every visitor, a donor, a researcher, a government partner, a curious teacher — walks into the same space where the work is actually done. There is no distance between the office and the work.
